Poly-Hydroxy Acid (PHA) (gluconolactone)
The second generation of hydroxy acid technology, PHA has a larger molecular size than alpha-hydroxy acid, meaning it works exclusively on the surface to deliver gentle yet effective exfoliation.

• Our amount of poly-hydroxy acid was specifically chosen so it can be left on skin. It helps improve skin radiance and the appearance of skin texture by breaking apart the bonds between dead skin cells to accelerate exfoliation on the top surface layer of skin.

Alpha-Hydroxy Acid (AHA) (glycolic acid)
With a much smaller molecular size compared to PHA, AHA easily works through the top surface layers of the skin to accelerate deeper exfoliation.

• AHA helps accelerate skin renewal and exfoliation by breaking apart the bonds between dead skin cells on multiple surface layers.
• This leave-on acid also helps improve skin radiance and the appearance of skin texture for overall smoothness.

Glycerin
Skin-replenishing glycerin, a natural compound derived from vegetables, serves as the perfect complement to the powerful pairing of two exfoliating hydroxy acids.

• Glycerin is a widely used humectant due to its ability to attract water to itself and help boost moisture levels on the top layers of skin.

It is not recommended to use this booster with Mary Kay Clinical Solutions^® Retinol 0.5. You should also avoid using other exfoliating products on the same day, including TimeWise Repair^® Revealing Radiance^® Facial Peel, TimeWise^® Microdermabrasion Refine, Mary Kay Naturally® Exfoliating Powder, Clear Proof® Deep-Cleansing Charcoal Mask or the Skinvigorate Sonic™ Facial Cleansing Brush Head. It is also recommended that you avoid Clear Proof^® products containing salicylic acid while using this booster.

• Squeeze 6 to 8 drops into your hands, and smooth the product over your face and neck, avoiding the eye area. Usage may vary depending on personal preference.
• Apply in the evening, 2 or 3 times per week, after both cleansing and toning your skin.
• Follow up with your serum and evening moisturizer.
• Be sure to use a broad spectrum SPF sunscreen the next day, and limit sun exposure while using this booster and the following week.
